Resolution
The following resolution was offered by the MCA Board
of Directors and moved for adoption:
WHEREAS, the MCA Board of Directors recognizes the
Minnesota Association of County Probation Officers (MACPO) as a highly
respected organization in the field of corrections; and
WHEREAS, MACPO’s Mission is dedicated to promoting
quality correctional practices through professional growth, leadership,
education, communication and support; and
WHEREAS, MACPO’s Vision provides a voice for
the probation profession and leading the promotion of sound correctional
policy toward the principles of restorative justice, community involvement,
public protection, victim restoration, offender accountability and
competency development
WHEREAS, MACPO is celebrating 50 years of excellence
with a celebration in May of 2007, and;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Minnesota
Corrections Association salutes the Minnesota Association of County
Probation Officers for their lengthy history of professionalism, dedication
and history of quality training and service to it’s members.
